Well not quite.
The plan was to have immediately set off to Posidonio but the newly installed toilet pump, when opened, had a leak ! So the start of the sailing season yet again was sabotaged by a dodgy heads. Once swapped out and a bit later than planned we completed the 5 miles or so up to our old faithful bay at the east end of Samos.
Posidonio was deserted & sunny, but still way too chilly to swim. For me anyway. Mrs M sometimes likes the cold water therapy.
Relaxed in the sun & not too bothered by her 1st sail of the season
The taverna was partially opened with a limited but adequate selection of meals.
Clara cycled down from the marina for a visit.
Shortly followed a few days later by Corinna & Ton who had seen from Facebook we were still on Samos and drove down to see us and have coffee.

Nicolas had been home to France and now returned to complete the final stages of the handover of his boat to the new owner. The boat was in Kleanthis’s yard in Samos and he had hired a car for the week or so he was going to be on the island. His plans were to sail with the new owner to Leros and that would be the end of his sailing life with SYENI. Whilst waiting for the new owner to arrive he visited us and after coffees we all headed off for a last lunch (for him) in Aghios Konstantinos, out towards Karlovassi, at the other end of Samos.
Cafe @ Posidonio
Aghios Konstantinos for aperitifs & lunch
We had a final ouzo that evening in Posidonio.
From memory it was an expensive day for me, LOL.
We arranged to meet up again once he had helped deliver the boat to Leros Marina with the new owner.
Leros was to prove a common denominator this year…………
