Biscay

Eventually we got a nice weather window to move on from La Rochelle. About twenty miles out we hit the 1000 mile mark, Lat. 45˚ 58.28’N Long 01˚31.43’W which was accompanied by a lovely sunset.

We had a good crossing, some of which we sailed and some we had to motor sail. We also got a wee routine going for the two nights and both managed to get a few hours’ sleep, but still extremely tiring with just two of us. I must admit, night sailing is not my favourite. The second night was cloudy which gives no definition between the sky and the sea; it’s just pitch black all around. Kinda spooky.
